OUR WEEK IN YEAR THREE GOLD

This week we have started using our book links book called The king of Capri. We have started to read it and have made predictions. In maths we have been learning about graphs and bar charts. A police man whose name was PC Tim he told us about stranger danger and safety. He even showed us the drill to cross the road. In PE we did gymnastics.

Our week in year 3 silver

In year 3 silver we have been reading the king of Capri.
It's about a selfish king and there's a storm. All of the kings riches go into the poorest women's garden and she becomes queen. The king becomes nice and marries the queen.

A police man came in called PC Tim and told us how to stay safe.

A few weeks ago we read Little Evie in the wild woods. So we're starting to make movies.

Volcanoes!

In science we have been learning about rocks. We made our own volcanoes and predicted what would happen. Check out the exciting photos!

Week beginning 10th February

We have had another exciting week in Year Three. We have had two exciting visitors. Monday began with a visit from Elin Haf Davies who told us all about her sporting adventures on the seas. She has raised lots of money for charity and is why she held the Olympic Torch. Then on Thursday Natalia's Grandad Julian came to tell us all about how the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids. We would like to say a huge thank you to Julian and Elin for giving us their time. It was inspirational!

In class we have been learning to calculate the duration of time and have written our own stories based on Little Evie in the Wild Woods by Jackie Morris.

Jackie Morris will be visiting Year 3 Silver in March during the Book Links project. We hope she likes our stories as much as we do!

Have a happy and safe half term break.

See you on Monday 24th February.
