This week it has been really FUN!

On Monday we went to Epping forest.We tried to act out what we thought Dick Turpin did there.

We found lots of caves.

 

Next term we will go swimming.Remember your swimming kits.

                        NUMERACY

In numeracy we learnt about directions. To remember north east South and west we do never eat Schmool or Western.It is fun in year 3 silver.

                                Literacy

In literacy we learnt about poems and jokes. 

Q: Why did the Skelton not go to the party.

A: Because it had nobody to go with.

This week in literacy we were writing nonsense poems about how we get to school, we were given some pictures and we had to include those things in our poem. In maths we were learning directions and clockwise and anticlockwise. We even made a maze! We directed our partners to touch different materials using North, East, South, West. On Thursday we let the chicks run around in the hall! But sadly the chicks are leaving today and only eight of them hatched and the last two didn’t hatch. But we are very excited to go to Epping forest!!

This week has been really exciting because Chicks  have hatched in our school, we painted Elephants in the playground, we got new puppets and we also did lots more lovely things in our week!!! This week in maths we have been learning about the 8 points of a compass and angles, in literacy we have been learning about poems and in topic we have been painting Elephants inspired by Elmer the Elephant.

This week in silver class we have been learning about East London and  persuasive writing. We have been learning about arrays, division and multiplication in numeracy.  Yesterday we were planing in our books why tesco shouldn't build on snake park!!!! We are going to write letter to tesco to try and stop them!!

On Monday we had a bank holiday and there was no school on the bank holiday. We went to the cinema and people stayed at home watching on the ipad and playing games. On Tuesday we went swimming in Britannia. There where two classes one for non-swimmer and one for swimmers. On Wednesday we had a debate if Tesco was gone to build a new Tesco over snake park. In the afternoon we were painting are Elmer drawings . It was a fun week! (Also there are chicks at school which hatched this week. All very exciting!)

Bristazia and Aron’s Year 3 gold blog Tie dye In tie dye we are excited because we have never done this before and we are going to sew patterns. We get to design our t-shirts with dye with Miss Mapleston. Our hackney leaflet In our Hackney leaflet we are persuading Spanish people and English people to come and visit Hackney. These are the places you could go like, Kidzmania, Hackney empire ,Hackney picture house Rio cinema, Ridley road market and Broadway road market. Dick Turpin We are learning about Dick Turpin we are know that dick turpin had a wife called Elizabeth Milligan. We also did role play of Dick Turpin stealing stuff and his quote is “your life our your money”. We did a wanted poster of Dick Turpin and if we should hang him or send him to prison. Dalston library When we went to Dalston library we all choose a book. Aron’s book was “Tintin” book and Bristazia’s book was “My sister the vampire”. We all appreciate what the Dalston library has done for us by giving us books and reading to us. We give you a big “THANK YOU” Show&tell We had tadpoles shown by Ismay.

Monday: on Monday we had a special assembly about fairness so some children got to do tug of war .Tuesday: we did PE  and it was personal best . In personal best we did javelin,shuttle run, shot put,speed bounce,long jump and a whole class game.

Wednesday: On Wednesday we did ICT and in ICT we did scratch. Scratch is a game maker and you can also make an interactive story .

Thursday: on Thursday we tie dyed our t shirts and it was really fun.

Friday:on Friday we did chess and we also get greentime we hope you enjoyed our blog thanks for listening
