In yr 3 silver has done a fab Stone Age play the song was flint stone it was amazing! We made brill stonehenge out of sault doe. Lily ,Takara and Donte wrote a desrition of a Stone Age setting using complex noun phases we also made are own Stone Age setting in a shoe box inspired by a arrest Josif Cornel they looked great! And we had a stone age day we made tools and  costumes and learned lots of facts about how life was like then with only stones and wood.

In yr 3 we made flowers for are hair made out of tissue paper we also had are face painted as a day of the dead sculls (day of the dead is a celibrtion that Mexicans have) and Lily made a 3D Mexican man made out of pens paper and carbord and Micah made a Mexican hat out of newspaper and paint and Aysha made a Mexican beach she made it out of felt and paper and pipecleaners also feathers it looked really good!

We have bin learning ww1.Today we did a quiz and we had fun! Also we have to dress uped as soldier and that was really fun. Just now we did a wonderful tea dance. We had juice ,cake and biskits.On  tuesday we made a poppy garden but as soon as it was home time they all bloo  away. But how do you think the poppies so quick just like that? Yesterday lucky us got to see fantastic mr fox  it was fun. It was amazing we wish that  we can watch it again  . When we went  swimming the first thing we did was the register . Then   Our swimming teacher said we needed to float . Lots of people learnt how to foalt . Today  it is  the opening of our glourous topic mexcio !!! And we even get to have our face painted!!!! On wednsday we whent to Britannia leisure center to do are swimming lesson I am in. Group 2 and some are in group 1 if you are in group 2 you are aloud  to  go in the big pool.

On Tuesday  we did had hula workshop with a  professional and she could spin all of the hoops. I got big,fat  hoops!

On monday we learnt about partitioning to help with number sentences. In literacy we learnt about complex noun phrases about the Stone Age. At lunch time it was our turn in football. On Tuesday we drew a picture of a Stone Age man or lady and then we discribed it with complex noun phrases. On Tuesday we went to Britania leisure  centre to go swimming with the classes there's a swimmers group and a learners group.

Silver & Gold are learning about the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. We created are own stories of 'Not Now Berned.

Year 3 silver made great Amazon rainforest with salt dough. We also made games from scratch it was really fun.

Epping Forest

One day we went to Epping Forest.   First we went with our partners. Maisie’s partner was Mehmet.
Cinira’s partner was Aron.  Then we had a little walk to the bus stop. We got on the 38 bus.
After that we had to walk a little walk to Epping Forest. We got there and we pretended to be Dick Turpin and the rich ladies.

This week in literacy we were writing nonsense poems about how we get to school, we were given some pictures and we had to include those things in our poem. In maths we were learning directions and clockwise and anticlockwise. We even made a maze! We directed our partners to touch different materials using North, East, South, West. On Thursday we let the chicks run around in the hall! But sadly the chicks are leaving today and only eight of them hatched and the last two didn’t hatch. But we are very excited to go to Epping forest!!

On Monday we had a bank holiday and there was no school on the bank holiday. We went to the cinema and people stayed at home watching on the ipad and playing games. On Tuesday we went swimming in Britannia. There where two classes one for non-swimmer and one for swimmers. On Wednesday we had a debate if Tesco was gone to build a new Tesco over snake park. In the afternoon we were painting are Elmer drawings . It was a fun week! (Also there are chicks at school which hatched this week. All very exciting!)

We also did role play of Dick Turpin stealing stuff and his quote is “your life our your money”. We did a wanted poster of Dick Turpin and if we should hang him or send him to prison. Dalston library When we went to Dalston library we all choose a book. Aron’s book was “Tintin” book and Bristazia’s book was “My sister the vampire”. Monday: on Monday we had a special assembly about fairness so some children got to do tug of war .Tuesday: we did PE  and it was personal best . In personal best we did javelin,shuttle run, shot put,speed bounce,long jump and a whole class game.

Wednesday: On Wednesday we did ICT and in ICT we did scratch. Scratch is a game maker and you can also make an interactive story .

Thursday: on Thursday we tie dyed our t shirts and it was really fun.

We learnt about Dick Turpin and his life! Like when he was in the Gregory gang. We went into the computer room and made spider diagrams about him. Dick Turpin was a highwayman! For maths our class were learning about rounding numbers to the nearest TH H T U. In rounding we used money to make our answers. We have a new teacher called Mr.Cetindamar and he teaches some lessons and Mrs.Mapleston teaches others. We did drawing of lights and darks and we drew Mr.Cetindamar. What a fun week!

This week we have been learning about Dick Turpin. We have been acting his life and what he done when he was alive. We made props to make it look more real. We were in groups of six and we had to be Dick Turpin and his gang or ladies that are getting robbed or men that are getting robbed!

In maths we were rounding 2 digit 3 digit and 4 digit numbers to the nearest 10 100 and nearest 1000.

Today we went on an Easter egg hunt.

We had to find all the clues that the adults put up in different places. The first clue was in the boat. All of the clues led us all into Snake Park. But at end the eggs were at school.

We all had an Easter bonnet parade.

Some people did drumming when the other people did the Easter parade. The people with the best hats got a prize. There were 1^st,2^nd,3^rd and 4^th. The people that got 1^st prize got a really big chocolate egg and the people that got 2^nd prize got a medium egg the people that got 3^rd got a small egg and 4^th got a really small egg.

In year 3 silver we have had a debate about the dam in Ethiopia. We wrote a letter to Ethiopia and Egypt about building the dam and why we thought it was not a good idea. 

Our new project is drawing, we did a activity of drawings  of animals.

Today we are  doing art and PE. We are doing dance. 

In show and tell we  have seen rocks and Lego pyrimads and mummies. Today we saw a piece of real magma!

We had a great time visiting the Hannah Hoch exhibition! We sketched in the gallery and then made our own collages. It was great fun!

Our week in year 3 gold class

At the beginning of our week we went to the Horniman museum. They had stuffed animals & cute baby foxes. Then we sketched dead animals and sculptures. After that we had lunch and went to the music park to play.

Later on in the week we had the BP man, Joseph Phelan, come in to talk about rocks and fossils, we did work sheets which had tests on them. We got most of them right!

Today we are going to an art gallery in Whitechapel and we will sketch artists’ art and sculptures. We are going to learn about one particular artist and her name is Hannah Hӧch, who came from Germany.

On Monday we went to Cadogon  hall  and  sang songs and we heard a storey of Jenny the ghost it was fun. Then we went to eat our food in the garden. This week in Silver class we went on a fantastic trip to sloane square! Also on Tuesday in swimming 

we learnt how to do the starfish.We have been doing lots of things in Geography but we have mainly learned about dams and flooding. In maths we've done adding stuff to make one hundred and one thousand.

In reading we've  been doing litte Evie in the wood. The author Jackie Morris came into see us! She told us about the books she likes to read and where she lives. We also met the illustrator Catherine Hyde. 

Show and tell has been so fun people have brought teddy bears and paper mâché pyramids.
